"Buddha Siddhartha Gautama"

Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was born around 560 B.C. in northern India.

His father, Suddhodana, was a ruler of an area near the Himalayas which would be today's Nepal.

Suddhodana protected his son from the outside world and restricted him to the palace where he surrounded his son with pleasures and wealth. Gautama left his family and went looking around the country seeking wisdom. He studied the Hindu scriptures. Eventually, he gave himself up to the life of Buddhism.

This is a photograph of a Laughing Buddha. Statues of laughing Buddhas can frequently be found in many Chinese homes and businesses. This Buddha is a symbol of happiness and good luck. As you can tell by the look of this Buddha, its tummy is well-rounded. The well-rounded belly signified gold and wealth! Many believed just by rubbing its belly, gold and good luck would be theirs and their future generations to come

"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future. It transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology. It covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity." Albert Einstein

The people of Huang He Valley, China believed in the religion of Buddhism.

They believed in Buddha.

They believe in a way of life based on hope, dreams, and following their own life's path.

"A moment to still our minds, stop what we're doing to appreciate the silence and perhaps collectively breathe"

Something like that. What do you think?

Would you participate if the whole world would would pray at the same time on the same day for a minute 60 seconds of your day for world peace?

Would you be able and willing to pray at the same time with the whole world?

Imagine what positive energy it would bring to this world today? Which needs positive energy.

Well, please let me know what you think about this concept. I am working on talking to other people about this and coming up with a date to do this. Would love your participation and thoughts on this matter.
Thanks!
