Tonight Take A Moment To Pray For World Peace Or Take That Moment To Reflect

"Would You Participate For 60 Seconds Of Silence For Reflection Or To Pray For World Peace?" We are going to have the moment of silence on October 28, 2008. Which is the time of a new moon. Which means new beginnings. It is a wonderful time to have this moment of silence 60 seconds for a moment of reflection and to pray for world peace. I am so excited! Please tell all of your friends and family about this.

Agenda Date: October 28, 2008 Time: 8:00pm Where: Where ever you are at that moment remember to take a moment and join us in reflecting, and praying for world peace. (Or what ever you want to think about or pray about.)

To explain a little more of what this sixty seconds of silence really means. It is a time to stop what we are doing. To just think about this moment, where we are going in this world, and our lives. This is not to pray only! This is also for a moment of silence for everyone together to think about, what ever it is they would like to think about. This moment is for ourselves. This world is moving rapidly that sometimes we forget what is really important in this world. This moment of silence represents so much. Join us in this moment of 60 seconds of silence to close our eyes or stop what we are doing and just let our minds wonder, focus, and think and if you would like pray for world peace. It does not matter what way or which religion you are going to pray in. Just pray the way you know how. Every little bit helps in one way are another.

Thanks to all that are participating in this moment of peace! I greatly appreciate your assistance. The little things that we all do can make a big difference. We must first believe that we can make a diffference before we will see a difference. I will be praying tonight at 8:00pm. I may pray longer than one minute but that is my choosing. You may take just one moment of silence and that is enough but if you have more time that is good too. Once again, thanks for your participation.

Quotes For Peace!

It isn't enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn't enough to believe in it. One must work at it.

-- Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962)

The structure of world peace cannot be the work of one man or one party or one nation. It must be a peace which rests on the cooperative effort of the whole world.

-- Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945)

A truly free society must not include a "peace" which oppresses us. We must learn on our own terms what peace and freedom mean together. There can be no peace if there is social injustice and suppression of human rights, because external and internal peace are inseparable. Peace.is not just the absence of mass destruction, but a positive internal and external condition in which people are free so that they can grow to their full potential.

-- Petra Karin Kelly (1947-1992)

But peace does not rest in the charters and covenants alone. It lies in the hearts and minds of all people. So let us not rest all our hopes on parchment and on paper, let us strive to build peace, a desire for peace, a willingness to work for peace in the hearts and minds of all of our people. I believe that we can. I believe the problems of human destiny are not beyond the reach of human beings.

-- John F. Kennedy (1917-1963)

You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.

-- Malcolm X (1925-1965)

We will not build a peaceful world by following a negative path. It is not enough to say we must not wage war. It is necessary to love peace and sacrifice for it. We must concentrate not merely on the negative expulsion of war but on the positive affirmation of peace. We must see that peace represents a sweeter music, a cosmic melody, that is far superior to the discords of war. Somehow, we must transform the dynamics of the world power struggle from the negative nuclear arms race, which no one can win, to a positive contest to harness humanity's creative genius for the purpose of making peace and prosperity a reality for all the nations of the world. In short, we must shift the arms race into a peace race. If we have a will - and determination - to mount such a peace offensive, we will unlock hitherto tightly sealed doors of hope and transform our imminent cosmic elegy into a psalm of creative fulfillment.

-- Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968)

One day we must come to see that peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but that it is a means by which we arrive at that goal. We must pursue peaceful ends through peaceful means.

-- Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968)

If there is to be peace in the world, There must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, There must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, There must be peace between neighbors. If there is to be peace between neighbors, There must be peace in the home.If there is to be peace in the home, There must be peace in the heart.

-- Lao Tzu (570-490 B.C.)

All we are saying is give peace a chance.

-- John Lennon (1940-1980)

What Is The Answer To Saving Money In This Economy

Saving Money in this economy is getting harder and harder. You look at the news and everything you see and hear sounds awful. Well, they say that we will get through this hard time. We will get through these hard times, the key word is how. They say to live with less. When you think about this situation. Do you think that they will live with less?

The first thing to do when you need to change your lifestyle. Think of things as if you only have a certain amount of money. Only spend what you need from that money. If you have extra put that money in an envelope and forget about it. The money that you do have try to keep an account of every penny spent. It will not be an easy task but you can do it. If you have extra from that amount you spend on your needs put that money in another envelope called Do Not Touch For Emergency Purposes Only! Don't worry if the amount is $2.00 to start with. You just have to start with what ever you have. The key is to start with something.

If you have bottles and cans. Take those bottles and cans to the supermarket get your money for them. You will be surprised at how much that will help you. Even if it comes up to $2.00 you could put that money towards gas or put it in another envelope labeled wants. In this envelope you will put money for something that you want. The money from the bottles and cans, when you save enough. Can get you perhaps a washing machine over time. You never know. You will be surprised at how that helps out in these times.

This is what I started to do recently to save on electricity. I started to loosen the bulbs from the lights we dont need all on at the same time. So I only leave what I need on and I loosen the rest. If company comes I put them on. Why waste electricity when no one is around. It really helps! I have also recently started to unplug equipement such as computer, tv, and appliances that I am not using at the time. When I have to use something. I plug it back in. I will see my bill and let you know if I have saved.

Food! Oh my goodness "Food" it is such a hard thing for me to save. Buying groceries, no matter what I do. I seem to spend more than I anticipated on spending. Well, I am working on the food issue. If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment.

Feel free to share your thoughts and point of views on this blog! I really would like to hear from everyone. I hope that you enjoyed the tips for saving money in this economy and when I find some other ways of saving money. I will share them with you. Thanks for reading this blog.

"How Can I Forgive Those Who Sin Against Me?"

This has been a hard road for me. I realized through this experience that if I didn't look within myself and learn to forgive that I would never move forward in my life. I have reached the path of forgiveness. I hope this helps you as it did with me.

According to the Bible, we are to forgive. Ephesians 4:32 declares," Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you"

Colossians 3:13 proclaims,"Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you"

Matthew 6:14-15 is best understood to be saying that people who refuse to forgive others have likely not truly experienced God's forgiveness themselves.

"A moment to still our minds, stop what we're doing to appreciate the silence and perhaps collectively breathe"

Something like that. What do you think?

Would you participate if the whole world would would pray at the same time on the same day for a minute 60 seconds of your day for world peace?

Would you be able and willing to pray at the same time with the whole world?

Imagine what positive energy it would bring to this world today? Which needs positive energy.

Well, please let me know what you think about this concept. I am working on talking to other people about this and coming up with a date to do this. Would love your participation and thoughts on this matter.
Thanks!
